The days of uniforms, constantly seeing little children running around me and causing trouble, continuously being oppressed by the authority and treated like children, heavy limitation and restrictions and ignorant school girl drama is over. High school is done! As a person who has been to three different high schools, I feel that there are a few comparisons I should quickly roll over.
Ardenne – rather strict, but very resourceful, always looking for ways to take your money. Tasty food. Sorta snobbish but brilliant students, Lots of drama!
Manchester – rather laidback, limited resources but cheap, Lots of food variety, long devotions, very, very friendly and unified people. Home of geniuses.
Hampton/Munro – takes your money whether you like it or not, very restricted and oppressive (esp hampton), very resourceful. Friendly, intelligent and extremely chatty people. Heavily laden with school girl drama.
Who knows, maybe in the future when the mood strikes me, Ill be more detailed in my description of my schools. But for now, I’m glad its over!
Right now, I’m looking to get my visa to *hopefully* go to Kalamazoo College! Yep, I got a scholarship, all thanks to AQuEST, Dr. Minnot and Father’s need to do accounting! I’m a bit excited, bit I remain only cautiously optimistic. I don’t want anything to blow out my candle but I have to be aware that the wind may just sneak up on me.
Exams, oh brother. Out of them all, Math Paper 2 was the hardest but I managed. I really hope I do well because I truly did do my very best. I really really did try like I’ve never tried before!!
In other news, my mother is going to be a minister!!!!!! I’m SO SO SO proud of her! She did her second sermon last Sunday, and I was there to witness it! Pretty soon she will be officially ordained. Oh mommy!
I feel like I might just burst with pride. Really.
Also, in other news, I’ve moved from Drupal to WordPress. Simply because WordPress is easier to use, and updates are less frequent. However, I do love Drupal, and may use it again in the future, maybe when it is more stable. I think I may tweak the theme some more though.
*Sigh* I had a little school’s-out-lets-celebrate outing with my friends from Ardenne last night. We watched Karate Kid and ate Frosties and Chinese. It was really fun and nice seeing them again. Now that summer is here, I’ve been sleeping alot, and I feel like a turtle in a race against hamsters. Or myself in a race against Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell. Time seems zip past me, lifting my skirt and exposing my under garments in its haste.
